Why, you could have knocked me over with a feather when I checked out the Real Clear Politics Blog today and saw that Tom Bevan -- conservative Tom Bevan -- wingnut Tom Bevan who NEVER had a nice thing to say about Obama or his administration -- is raising money for "Organizing for America!"
It's TRUE!
Oh, he starts the column snarkily enough...
The title is "Obama group raising money off of Palin; says she's dangerous."
The lede reads:
I was a bit surprised to see the following email in my inbox from Mitch Stewart, the director of Organizing for America, which in the new name for the grassroots activist network from Obama's 2008 campaign:
Then, he prints the entire e-mail -- ALONG WITH FOUR (Count 'em) -- FOUR CLICKABLE LINKS by which his readers can donate to OFA.
Well, I didn't GET this note in my e-mail, so I wrote Mr. Bevan a nice note thanking him for bringing it to my attention so I could donate -- via his column.
Check it out.
Here's a couple screen shots, in case he changes it. I couldn't get the whole thing, but you get the gist.
So, why don't YOU do like I did, go to the RCP blog, click the link and make a donation. Then write to Mr. Bevan and thank him for providing this valuable opportunity to help OFA fight against Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and their lies.
You'll feel GOOD!
UPDATE: I sent Mr. Bevan a little thank you note.
Tom...
I'm a little surprised that I didn't get this most recent fundraising e-mail you wrote about in the RCP blog today, the one rightfully pointing out Sarah Palin's lies. I want to thank you for including not one, but two of the "donate" buttons on your post. By clicking the buttons, I was able to make a donation to help Organizing for America stop this outrageous campaign of lies.
Thanks for your assistance in raising money for this worthwhile cause.
Bill
